  • Video Profile Upload:
    The Video Profile Upload is the easiest way to upload a video; with user convenience in mind, this tool, located in the Video Profile of the Member Center, was designed with a standard browsing mechanism to allow Members to Upload, Delete, Replace and even Preview their videos with the click of a button.

    Note: Currently this feature is limited to a video file size of up to 10 MB. If your video file size is above 10 MB, it is advised that you use our FTP Upload.

 
  • FTP Upload:
    The FTP Upload is the most powerful uploading option; by using this feature, members enjoy a quick and efficient submission that supports an upload of multiple video files larger than 10 MB at the same time.

    This option is free of charge as long as the material is encoded according to our Encoding Specifications and is less or equivalent to 5 minutes of accumulative video time.
    In addition, members can use this option in order to submit their films/videos to be encoded by Videoart.net. See our Encoding Services.

    In order to upload a video using the FTP Upload, follow these simple steps:

    1. Register your video’s information in the video profile of the Member Center.

    2. Request an FTP Upload Address, as follows:
    Copy the below request and edit it in accordance with your member and video information (Using a Word Processor or your E-mail):

    "Please E-mail me an FTP address:
    My user name is:
    Video/Film Title:
    File type:
    File Size (MB):
    I would like Videoart.net to encode my video: Yes / No”

    3. E-mail the above information with your personalized details to the following address: support@videoart.net

    4. Videoart.net will confirm your request and shall provide you (via E-mail) with an FTP address information within 48 hours.

    5. Using your Internet Browser or FTP Client Software, access the FTP address Videoart.net has provided you following your request and open one of the FTP folders on the server.

    6. Drag and drop or copy and paste your video files into the FTP folder.

    7. Wait for upload operation to complete, and then at a convenient time, exit your Internet browser or FTP program.

    8. Videoart.net will go over your submitted material and attach it to your online portfolio. In case your submitted material is not encoded in accordance with our Encoding Specifications, Videoart.net will send you an E-mail with a link to Paypal for easy and secure payment, then following your payment it will encode and post your video on the site.

 
  • Mail Submission:
    Videoart.net also accepts video submissions by mail; correctly encoded material submitted on a CD or DVD will be uploaded and posted on the site for you - for a handling fee of $15.
    In addition, Videoart.net offers tape transfer and encoding services. members who wish to have their films/videos encoded and posted on the site by Videoart.net, may send their material to us by mail.

    In order to submit a video through mail, follow these simple steps:

    1. Register your video’s information in the video profile of the Member Center.

    2. Prepare your video material in any of the following formats:

    Accepted Digital formats:
    QuickTime, AVI, Divx submitted by FTP or on a CD/DVD by mail

    Accepted tape and DVD Formats:
    VHS, VHS-C, Hi8, 8, Mini-DV, DVD (MPEG2)
    We accept all formats on NTSC. PAL is only accepted on VHS and DVD.

    3. Send your video material to the following address:

    Materials WILL NOT BE RETURNED, so be sure to keep the original. Please make sure that your tape is labeled and that the in and out points of your clips are clearly marked. Your tape should be cued to the beginning of your video.

    Upon receiving your mailed submissions, Videoart.net will post your film/video on the site as soon as possible. Videoart.net will send you a confirmation E-mail concerning the status of your submission.
