Videoart.net aims at giving any video artist/filmmaker in the world direct access to his or her potential audience. Videoart.net provides its members with direct access to gallery and museum curators, producers, other artists, and the general public. Representatives of all these groups, members and non-members alike, are able to discuss the work presented on the site and also other topics in our forum.

Videoart.net provides its members with more features than any other video-hosting site: By using our Member Center, artists can submit, upload or modify their video and artist profiles or make changes to images in their galleries at any time.

Our site was founded and will continue to be operated by video artists and filmmakers who are dedicated to providing other artists access to high quality display venues that reach the widest possible audience. We will continue to ensure that commercialism is kept to a minimum and that our members’ needs are always the top priority.

7.  How do I upload and post my video on Videoart.net?
Upon registration, there are three ways to post your videos:

Video Profile Upload:

The Video Profile Upload is the easiest way to upload a video; with user convenience in mind, this tool, located in the Member Center, was designed with a standard browsing mechanism to allow Members to Upload, Delete, Replace and even Preview their videos with the click of a button.

FTP Upload:

The FTP Upload is the most powerful uploading option; by using this feature members enjoy a quick and efficient submission that supports video files larger than 10 MB. This option is free of charge as long as the submitted videos are encoded according to our Encoding Instructions and are less or equivalent to 5 minutes of accumulative video time.

In addition, Videoart.net offers encoding services; members who wish to have their films/videos encoded and posted on the site may upload their material using the FTP Upload.

Refer to the FTP Upload Instructions or the Help section for more details.

Mail Submission:

Videoart.net also accepts video submissions by mail; correctly encoded material submitted on a CD or DVD will be uploaded and posted on the site for you - for a handling fee of $15.

In addition, Videoart.net offers tape transfer and encoding services (See FAQ #9); members who wish to have their films/videos encoded and posted on the site by Videoart.net, may send their material by mail to the following address:
