His first musical experiments began in his childhood, with the folklore and the popular music from the region of Beira-Alta (in the North of Portugal). Luis Fernandes Was born in France and grew up in the outskirts of Lisbon. His first musical experiments began in his childhood, with the folklore and the popular music from the region of Beira-Alta (in the North of Portugal). Some years later, he took part in the street art of the suburbs, Break Dance and Rap. During His teenage hood, along with some friends, he started a musical Project, “Mente Podre” (“Rotten Mind”) that claimed to be an urban musical style influenced by Punk Core, Hard Core, Trash Metal, New Metal and Hip Pop. Since 1999/2000 until the present date he has participated in several musical training sessions and, although he considers himself to be a self-taught person, he claims to be a musician and a creative person, in a logic of creativity. Ways that have allowed him to participate in several musical and artistic projects as, for example; the Companhia de Teatro Inestética (Theatrical Company), the Companhia de Dança Amalgama (Dance Company), the Companhia de Música Experimental Doole (Experimental Musical Company), the Companhia de Teatro Panda Pá(Theatrical Company); the musical projects; Lupanar, Bicho de 7Cabeças, Flamenco Quartet of JoãoPires, Project of World Music from Mozambique - Genito Rasta, Desdobrável – Free jazz, Gigabombos – Traditional Percussions from Portugal. Since 2004 he has been working on Independent Productions in the area of Performance Art and Video Art – Dance and, in 2007, he Create a nonprofit organization for creations on the field of Experimental Cinema, Video Art and documentary; “25framesporsegundo”. He is an Artistic Expression psycho pedagogue and has an undergraduate degree in Psychology.  Close
