Born in 1980 Istanbul, she graduated from MSU Istanbul State Conservatory of Performing Arts in 2001, founder of Subvoid in 2006. She previously created solos, improvisations, collabrations, was a scholarship student at the American Dance Festival in 2000 and has participated many festivals, worked with well-known choreographers/directors from Europe to across the ocean. ??In 2006, she created Subvoid with her first evening lenght work called ''Dependent Independences.” Later on with her strong interest in editing, she decided to transform ?her stage-art work into an experimental film-art production and with this film, she become an award-winner director in New York in 2007. Subvoid has been presented in Germany, Italy, France, Turkey, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Netherlands, Wien, London, Paris, New York, California, Cyprus, Toronto, Sydney, Argentina and Santiago since 2007. Guryuksel is a 29 year old successful choreographer and dancer. She says she lives life not in a planned way but in a manner with which she can provide herself the environment to do whatever she wants to and learns what she has to do by observing what she shouldn’t do, rejecting the limitation caused by time. She always designed, imagined, experienced her inchoate ideas separately and looked for resources to keep her intellect, which she fragmented to a thousand pieces, vigorous. Guryuksel says she covered herself with a transparent wall against any kind of outside intervention in this creation process: “Those who remain outside your wall have to see you, otherwise you can not exist in life. The disability I experienced at a time in which I both experienced visibility or invisibility provided me the opportunity to stop, think and reflect what I imagined into life”. Close

As is known the matter has no concrete reality. Likewise the body is an image reflected in mind, everyone watches their own screen created by their-self. In terms of the cosmic moment, everything embraces the codes of the past, present and the future within itself, thus the result of an event actually comes into being before the cause that has led to that very event. Subvoid came into being by daring to stand against what lies behind the visible, in search of an abstract reality by means of free subconscious. It brings the inner and outer conflicts together and likes to mingle them, in order to create with sincerity and force. It feeds with never ending contradict illusions of reality. Close
