The principal aim of my work is to evoke emotion in the viewer. This is achieved by using themes that may be dark, mysterious, dream like or thought provoking. My films can be quite haunting but at the same time are hypnotic and aesthetically beautiful. I also tend to use female performers as the lead protagonist / antagonist, as this goes against the norm of the conventional ‘Hollywood’ cinema template. Currently my work explores showing reality in an abstracted, surreal or hyper real way.  Close

In my work I use the moving image to blur the realms of filmmaking and video art. I use the technical expertise of conventional narrative filmmaking combined with the experimental and unconventional approach of video art. The experimental films I create seamlessly cross over into both film and art domains. My films have been exhibited in both cinematic and art gallery (single-channel and installation) environments locally (Portsmouth), nationally (UK) and internationally.  Close
